When Valentino Beauty unveiled its "Anatomy of Dreams" fragrance collection at KaDeWe Berlin, the evening was more than just a product launch—it became an immersive brand experience, where scent and illustration intertwined.
As a live sketch artist specializing in luxury events, I collaborated with Valentino to offer a tailor-made activation that connected guests to the perfumes on a personal level. Each attendee—whether influencer, journalist, or celebrity from Berlin’s fashion scene—selected their favorite nuance from the collection. I then created their custom fashion portrait using only the colour representing that specific fragrance. To complete each piece, I hand-lettered the perfume’s name beside the illustration, turning it into a bespoke keepsake.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presence of Andrew Everett, the perfumer behind one of the scents, who flew in from New York to share insights about his creation. This added depth and storytelling to the event, elevating the guest experience.
By the end of the night, the portraits—displayed together—formed a striking visual: a table filled with monochromatic sketches in hues matching the perfumes, creating a soft rainbow of personalized artwork. Guests collected their portraits as a memorable takeaway, blending luxury gifting with artistic performance.
