Christmas Shopping Night in Alsterhaus
There are nights that feel like postcards—flashes of light, elegance, and joy that you wish could stretch a little longer. The Christmas Shopping Night at Alsterhaus in Hamburg was exactly that kind of night.
After the regular doors had closed, the department store came alive again. Guests, dressed for the occasion and full of curiosity, wandered through the beauty hall, eager to enjoy exclusive treatments, music, and unique experiences. It was a true celebration of the senses, and I had the honour of sketching live for Armani Beauty.
For this event, I chose to keep my illustrations minimal and refined: fluid lines in bluish ink, just a touch of accent colour, and flat areas that suggested posture, movement, and attitude. Each drawing was a quiet dialogue between elegance and spontaneity, a fleeting portrait of the evening’s charm.
And then, there is Hamburg—a city I always love coming back to. To me, it’s the most beautiful city in Germany. Elegant, open, and always a little mysterious… just like that night.
